Mark McKnight Trio
Since graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2006 Mark McKnight has gone on to establish himself as one of Ireland’s leading young jazz musicians. With a growing international reputation, as evidenced last year when he placed 3rd in the Montreux International Jazz Guitar Competition 2008(open to all guitarists under 30 worldwide),Mark has performed throughout Europe and shared the stage with such musicians as Jason Rebello (Sting), Jean Toussaint, Sam Yahel (Joshua Redman), Darren Beckett, Julian Siegel, Terell Stafford (McCoy Tyner) and WIll Vinson.
Earlier this year he released his first CD as a leader entitled “Overnight”. Recorded in NYC it features some of the world’s leading young jazz musicians and has received critical acclaim.

For this performance Mark is joined by the UK’s most prominent young hammond organist Ross Stanley and Northern Ireland’s David Lyttle on drums.
